This is a pleasure use truck that averages roughly 7000 miles per year and sometimes isn't driven for weeks. I was 19 days out of warranty, but almost 23,000 miles under. If that's the case, I'd just leave it stock. Was told during yearly state vehicle inspection that it would not pass due to cracked exhaust manifolds on both the driver's and passenger's side. That is, unless you are looking for quieter. Between the two AFE kits, the Apollo GT is better, IMO. I looked at all of them before I got my MBRP. The stainless kit has a lifetime warranty, the non-stainless has a three-year and is "suitable for areas with mild environmental conditions" which makes me think if you live in snow country it'll rot pretty good from the salt/brine they put on the roads. If you were seeing a big price difference, that could be it. The MBRP is available in an aluminized (non-stainless) steel version that's a few hundred or so cheaper than the stainless. The rest of the truck was rotting away, though. The 304 is a better grade, but to be fair - I had a 409 stainless it on my old truck for over a decade and it looked the same (at least on the outside) the entire time. The MBRP is made of 304 stainless steel versus the AFE which is made of 409 stainless. I'd say the Apollo GT is more comparable to my MBRP kit, which also has 3" pipe with a 4" tip. IIRC, you can also get them with a polished stainless tip. Both are 409 stainless, and have black tips. The Apollo GT has a 4" tip with 3" pipe and the Mach Force has a 3.5" tip with 2.5" pipe. If that's the case, I'd just leave it stock. Click to expand.I looked at all of them before I got my MBRP.
